11 November 2019 saw Auxilium Girls’ Higher Secondary School campus colourfully decked to give a fitting welcome to Cardinal Charles Bo, SDB. DD Archbishop of Rangon, Myanmar. The Cardinal is also the President of Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences (FABC), member of pontifical Council for Culture and Consecrated life and a member of pontifical commission for communication. He was given a rousing welcome right from the main entrance to the school by the staff and students of the school, who were lined on both sides of the enchanting campus, clapping and singing out loud a welcome song. His eminence was all smiles as he walked in the midst the enthusiastic young people, accompanied by Fr. George Plathottam SDB, Executive Secretary of FABC Office of Social Communication Manila, Philippines, Sr. Elizabeth George, the Provincial of Immaculate Heart of Mary Province , Shillong and Sr. Euginia Kyntiewlin Susngi, Provincial Secretary.

A solemn welcome ceremony was held at the entrance to the house; during which His Eminence, Cardinal Charles Bo and Fr. George Plathotam SDB were joyfully felicitated with a shawl, (Ryndia Tlem) Necklace (Paila) and a bouquet of flowers and with another welcome song by the Higher Secondary Students of Classes XI and XII. This was followed by a message from His Eminence Cardinal Charles BO; who spoke on the need to have a vision in life, to know what one wants to become in the future and to work diligently to achieve the same. After this, the Cardinal along with the Sisters proceeded to the Chapel where a hymn of thanksgiving was sung for his presence in the community and he in turn gave the blessing of Mary Help of Christians. This was followed by a family meal.
