Auxilium, Tura was opened in 1988 inorder to provide hostel facilities to the young girls from far off villages who were studying at the Don Bosco College, Tura.

Under intrepid and dynamic leadership of Sr. Sofia Rodrigues, who transformed a rocky mountainous terrain into a beautiful habitable hostel, the community shifted from the Don Bosco School teacher’s quarters into the new hostel on 31st January 1991.

Besides giving girls the much needed shelter, they are systematically helped in their social, religious, intellectual and character formation. A sister of the community is also a full time lecturer at the college. This serves as a good opportunity for better follow up and care of the girls.
