At the request of the Bishop of Aizawl, Rt. Rev. Stephen Rotluanga CSC DD, Sr. Rosa Pyngrope, the then provincial and the councilors consented to the request. Therefore a community of sisters was constituted on January 8, 2011. The request made was due to the urgent need of Sisters at the place to continue the work and mission after the departure of the Ursuline Sisters of Ranchi who had been in the place for twelve years.

Pioneering Kawnpui were the three Sisters namely Sr. Jubil Mary Dkhar as Animator, Sr. Garnet Sutnga and Sr. Ribhalin Khyriem. The sisters render their service at St. Thomas English Medium co-education school of the Diocese.
