Auxilium Secondary School – Tura celebrated Parent’s Day on November 4, 2010. The celebration began at 10.30 in the morning with Mr. Sanjay Goyal I.A.S, Deputy Commisioner of West Garo Hills District, Meghalaya, as the Chief Guest, Sr. Rosa Pyngrope, Provincial as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries were the Members of the Catholic Board of Education, Tura Diocese, Sr. Bernadette Sangma FMA, the parents and well wishers of Auxilium Community.

The programme went on successfully with the students displaying their talents and gifts through songs, dance, drill etc. Little Aiura of Class I was highly appreciated with her melodious song “O ama” (Oh my mother) that brought joyful tears to the parents who felt elated for the recognition and love shown by the school through this celebration. In his speech, Shri Sanjay appreciated the staff and students for the programme that was well prepared with much discipline and perfection. He recommended the parents to train the students to be an asset to the society not through agitation and other unwanted means but to strive for higher values in order to be someone in the society. Sr. Rosa too encouraged the students and the staff to work harder in order to achieve their goal in life. The celebration concluded at 12. 30. P.M with lunch for the invited guests while snacks was served for the parents.
