The last day of the 11th Provincial Chapter was spent in the company of our Blessed Mother. The Morning Prayer led by Mawtnum community was an invitation to contemplate the ever abiding Presence of God in our lives no matter where we are made us convinced of the necessity to ‘be still… and know that I am God”. The natural outcome of this is the joyous spirit of the Magnificat.

Sr. Isabella Suja, Provincial delivered the last Morning Message of this Provincial Chapter on the presence of Our Lady in the early days of Our Institute. Mother Mazzarello always considered Our Lady as the Superior of the House and she is still so today. Being aware of her presence in our life, we too should emulate her virtues and make Our Lady’s attitude our own.

At 02:30 pm, the assembly gathered together for the closing session chaired by the Moderator of the Provincial Chapter, Sr. Gemima Pohrmen. The gathering began with the Chapter XXIII theme song “Make your Home in me’. Sr. Gemima called upon Sr. Isabella Suja, Provincial to approve the Vision Statement. After official approval was given the Members stood up and owned up the Vision Statement by reading it in unison. Sr. Gemima delivered the vote of thanks followed by the Thanksgiving prayer animated by the community of Vairengte. Sr. Isabella once again thanked everyone connected directly and indirectly with the Provincial Chapter, exhorting everyone to own up the Chapter because it is ours. She then solemnly declared the 11th Provincial Chapter 2013 Closed. The anthem of the Institute ‘O Qual Sorte’ was solemnly sung and the curtain came down on the 11th Provincial Chapter 2013 of the Province of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Shillong.

At 06.00 pm His Lordship Rt. Rev. Victor Lyngdoh DD, Bishop of Nongstoiñ Diocese celebrated the concluding Eucharistic Sacrifice. The Liturgy was animated by the community of Mawlai. At the introduction a beautiful commentary was read offering to the Lord the fruitful outcome of the 11^th Provincial Chapter and to thank God for the gift of Sr. Isabella Suja the bond of communion in the Province. Sr. Isabella Suja carried a bunch of wheat to the altar a symbol of fertility.The celebrant in his homily encouraged the Assembly that as Daughters of Mary Help of Christians we are called to be Mothers of Souls after the motto of Don Bosco “Da Mihi Animas Cetera Tolle” and not vice versa. He further exhorted that the task of every FMA is to glorify and magnify God like Mary; to give new life and new existence to the world. The participation of all the Chapter Members, Sisters of the nearby communities, Novices and the Pre- Aspirants added joy and meaning to the twin celebration of the Provincial Community Day and the Conclusion of the 11^th Provincial Chapter.

As a fitting Conclusion to the Chapter the assembly came together in the hall after supper for the felicitation programme. Through the different items staged, the Sisters and all present showed their gratitude and felicitated Sr. Isabella Suja, Provincial for all her loving services during the past year as the guide and animator of the Province.
