15 December 2016 saw the coming together of Sisters, Candidates in formation and Young People for the celebration of the Provincial Community Day. On 4 November 2016, as a mark of the conclusion of the Jubilee Year of Mercy a one-hour Opera entitled “Blessed are the Merciful” was staged by the students of Sacred Heart Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Mawlai – Shillong at the Auditorium of Sacred Heart Theological College. The opera circles around the parable of the Unforgiving Servant (Mt. 18: 21 – 35), which was directed and scripted by Shri Rollingstar Kharumnuid, a teacher of the school.
The 7th Northern Zonal Conference of the Salesian Cooperators comprising of the fives Provinces of Guwahati, Dimapur, Kolkata, Shillong and Dimapur was held at Lurshai FMA Outreach, Bellefonte – Shillong on 29th and 30th October 2016. The Tri–monthly Renewal Course was organized for the Young sisters of Shillong Province on 9 – 12 October 2016 at FMA Outreach Shillong. The dawn of 7 October 2016 brought along feelings of joy and gratitude for the day witnessed the laying of the foundation stone of the school building at Auxilium Dholai. On 17th of June 2016, the Sisters, Teachers and Students of Sacred Heart Girls’ Higher Secondary School, marched as pilgrims to the shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at Mawlai. The Mornesian Club of the school animated the pilgrimage. The students from Classes V to Class XII took part fervently in this act of love to Jesus.
